A customised off-campus course on land acquisition for the employees of Border Roads Organization. The course focuses on countering the avoidable mistakes made in the land acquisition process that can impose costs on the organisations. These mistakes are often made during the land acquisition process partly due to ignorance of legal provisions and court judgments and in many other cases lack of adequate due diligence prior to acquisition of land. The course delved deep into the provisions provided in the RFCTLARR Act, 2013 and other acts dealing with land acquisition. Beyond the legal provisions, the course becomes a platform for knowledge sharing through vibrant discussions on recent case laws, practical challenges and good practices across organisations.
