The Centre for Management of Land Acquisition, Resettlement and Rehabilitation (CMLARR), Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) welcomed a delegation from Uzbekistan led by World Bank comprising senior Ministry Officers, World Bank Specialists and Academicians/Administrators from and the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers Institute (TIIAME). The World Bank proposes to support the TIIAME in its quest to emerge as a Specialised Centre for capacity building, research and consultancy on land acquisition and environmental/social safeguards management in Central Asia. The 3-day Learning visit aimed at sharing insights into the sustainable functioning of the ASCI Land Centre and the development of capacity building modules for various sectors. CMLARR, ASCI is honoured to work in partnership with the World Bank for developing course modules/manuals on the Environmental and Social Framework, organising dedicated courses and supporting the establishment and growth of similar centres in African and Asian countries.
